Petronas Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo has registered a dominating victory at the Andalucia GP. Starting from pole position, he maintained his lead throughout the race to register his second grand prix win.
Maverick Vinales tailed former champion and teammate Valentino Rossi for most of the race but outsped him towards the end to secure the 2nd spot on the podium. The Doctor made his comeback to the podium after a long time and this was his 199th podium finish.
The current world champion, Marc Marquez, didn’t participate in the race. He suffered a broken humerus from a crash at the Spanish GP which ultimately led him to withdraw from the Andalucia GP.
